Week one of the college football season will have a few marquee games, including Alabama versus Miami.
The Crimson Tide is trying to repeat as national champions, but is it on upset alert against the Hurricanes?
According to Anthony Treash, a senior college football analyst for Pro Football Focus, he has Miami potentially defeating Alabama to open the year — especially if D’Eriq King is fully healthy.
King had a serious knee injury versus Oklahoma State in the 2020 Cheez-It Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
He recorded strong numbers before the injury, totaling 2,686 passing yards, 538 rushing yards, and 27 total touchdowns. PFF believes the Hurricanes will be the team to watch in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and it will start by challenging the Tide. The last time both schools faced each other was in the 1993 Sugar Bowl for a national title.

Alabama earned a 34-13 victory over Miami.
Florida State came into the 2017 season opener against Alabama under a lot of hype; however, the Crimson Tide emerged victorious (24-7) and the Seminoles finished the year at 7-6. This meeting between Alabama and Miami will be at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. CT. We shall see if the Hurricanes can pull an upset over the Tide.
