That’s certainly the case with Miami’s roster going into the 2020 month of spring football.
UM’s 14-0 loss to Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl was just over a month ago, though it feels like ages ago.

One of the interesting challenges that college football presents year after year is having to replace key players due to graduations or NFL Draft defections.
Every college football team takes on a new personality and a new identity each year.
The 2020 Hurricanes will look to replace four-year starters at linebacker in Shaquille Quarterman and Michael Pinckney, who have moved on to pursue NFL careers.
UM also lost juniors to the NFL Draft like running back DeeJay Dallas, wide receiver Jeff Thomas, defensive end Jonathan Garvin, and cornerback Trajan Bandy.
The Hurricanes have also lost a handful of players to the NCAA Transfer Portal as they look for new opportunities.
Miami has also added plenty of talent since the start of the offseason.
The Hurricanes have added 14 early enrollee freshmen that will be able to participate in spring football and the strength and conditioning program along with three graduate transfers.
The new addition that has grabbed all the headlines for Miami has been Houston graduate transfer quarterback D’Eriq King, who is a dynamic dual threat that will lead a new attack that is orchestrated by offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee.
