Black Bears open 2021 season Sept. 2
University of Maine football season memberships for the 2021 campaign are on sale now! Head coach Nick Charlton and the Black Bears are eager for the 2021 season and are excited to see Black Bear Nation back in the stands for Maine's five home dates.
"The return of Black Bear football is only months away and it's time to welcome back what makes our program operate at a championship level: our fans!," says Charlton. "Black Bear Nation, we are excited to announce season ticket memberships and the return of fans to watch your University of Maine football team. Beginning with our first game on our new turf, we take on the University of Delaware under the lights Sept. 2. We have an exciting slate of home games this year as we prepare to bring one of the most competitive schedules in all of FCS football to our great state! Our team cannot wait to see everyone this fall on gameday!"
There are numerous benefits to being a Maine Football Season Member! Those who purchase a season membership for the 2021 season will receive a free parking pass, which will provide access to the Leadbetter's Season Membership lot – the most prime parking location on game day in Orono! Season members will also be treated to future perks, giveaways, and benefits from local sponsors, free courtside or first row tickets to any home 2021-22 Maine men's basketball game of their choosing, and a coupon to Bear Necessities for each ticket purchased! Season Members who are unable to attend a game also have the luxury of utilizing the ticket exchange program, which allows fans to trade in their unused tickets for additional tickets to future games.
Season memberships for Maine's home slate begin at just $65 and range to $115 for a gold section ticket between the 30-yard lines on the upper level.
Fans may reserve their tickets by phone at 207-581-BEAR. Fans can also visit us in-person at the Alfond Arena ticket office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or email questions to UM.Tickets@maine.edu. Tickets can also be purchased online by visiting the virtual UMaine Athletics Box Office.

Single game tickets are tentatively slated to go on sale on July 27. Tailgate policies for the 2021 season will be announced at a later date.

The University of Maine is cautiously optimistic that fans will be welcomed back inside Alfond Stadium on game day. UMaine Athletics will take all precautions to ensure a healthy and safe experience for fans attending UMaine athletic events. UMaine Athletics will continue to follow all government regulations and campus guidelines as they pertain to the COVID-19 pandemic. Seat locations, attendance capacities, and tailgating rules and regulations are all subject to change. If for any reason a game is canceled, or limited attendance is required this fall, full refunds and other flexible ticket options for the canceled games will be available.
The University consistently seeks to take steps to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infections (or any other spread of disease) in accordance with applicable law, regulation, and guidance provided by health authorities. These efforts may include policies and safeguards implemented by the University such as symptom checks, social distancing, use of facial coverings, and isolating and quarantining when required. Despite these efforts, the University cannot categorically guarantee that any person entering University campuses or facilities will not contract COVID-19 or any other communicable disease and any such person must assess and accept the risks of illness or injury for themselves.
