Coach Brohm has had success with recruiting some of his former players from Western Kentucky to come to Purdue as graduate transfers. Today’s player is just the latest, and probably the last one since he has been gone from Western Kentucky for five years.

Witt was brought in to start immediately, and it seems very likely he is going to fill a spot at left guard. He comes to Purdue having started 43 games for the Hilltoppers, and as I mentioned, he was originally recruited by Brohm. He was Conference USA all-Freshman in 2017 as a redshirt freshman and he has been a steady presence on their line since. This is his extra free COVID year, so he is taking advantage by coming to Purdue.
Some of the things we have been hearing is that not only will he start, he is performing the best of all linemen. He is definitely a positive addition to the roster and a good one year solution.
