Week 3 of the XFL comes to a close with two games on Sunday, Feb. 23. The action gets started in St. Louis with the nightcap out on the West Coast. One team will mark its home opener while the other host has the unenviable task of facing the league's most dominant team through the first two weeks.

XFL Games on TV Today
Sunday's first game is between teams looking to keep pace with the DC Defenders in the XFL East. Both the Guardians and BattleHawks are coming off of losses last week to undefeated teams. New York was shut out by DC and changes could be coming on offense after last week's dismal showing (137 total yards, three turnovers). St. Louis fell in a close game on the road against the Roughnecks despite another strong outing from Jordan Ta'amu. The dual-threat quarterback has accounted for 602 total yards and six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) in the first two games. The BattleHawks will be making their home debut and it will be interesting to see how large a crowd shows up and what the atmosphere will be in The Dome at America's Center for a fan base that was spurned by the NFL's Rams a few years ago.
The final game of Week 3 has the Defenders looking to remain undefeated against a Wildcats team that desperately needs a win. DC quarterback Cardale Jones has put together back-to-back impressive outings and leads the XFL in passing. Los Angeles boasts the league's leading receiver in Nelson Spruce and it will be interesting to see how quarterback Josh Johnson fares in his second game back from injury. One thing is for sure, he can't afford to make any mistakes against a defense that has lived up to its name. The Defenders shut out the Guardians last week and have a pick-six in each of the first two games.
