Season Letter Grades: Grading Oregon's 2019 football season - 247Sports

I handed out letter grades for each game this season. I offered marks for the team as a whole, for the offense and defense and for each individual position group. These grades were completely subjective, backed up by what the DuckTerritory staff saw on game days and by what the numbers say as well.

Today, we recap the 2019 season with letter grades for the season as a whole. Agree? Disagree? Let us know in the comment section below.

Overall Team Grade: A-

Explanation: The Ducks wrapped up the season in style. After a late season loss to Arizona State, the Ducks rallied to win three straight to become Pac-12 champs and then Rose Bowl champs. A 12-win season is nothing to sneeze at, and when the final rankings come out in about a week, expect to see the Ducks among the five best teams in the country. There haven't been many seasons in program-history that can match those accolades.

The thing I'll remember most about this group is their will to win. They overcame second half deficits against California, Washington, Washington State and Wisconsin. While some teams may have folded, this group find a way. And it wasn't just one side of the ball either. The Rose Bowl summarized this team perfectly. The defense made the plays to give the offense a chance, and even on an off day, the offense mustered just enough to win.

Lowest Grade: C- (Arizona State)
Highest Grade: A+ (Nevada, Utah)
