Orono, Maine – The University of Maine football team is thrilled to welcome Black Bear fans back to Alfond Stadium and have several exciting fan promotions planned for the 2021 fall season!
Sept. 2 vs. Delaware – 7:00 p.m.
Welcome Home Black Bear Nation! The Black Bears will officially open the 2021 season when they host Delaware for the home opener, presented by U.S. Cellular and Pepsi. Stick around postgame for a fireworks show, presented by Phantom Fireworks!
Sept. 18 vs. Merrimack – 12:00 p.m.
Oct. 9 vs. Elon – 12:00 p.m.
Oct. 16 vs. William & Mary – 12:00 p.m.
Happy Homecoming, Black Bear Nation! UMaine's annual Homecoming game, presented by Bangor Savings Bank, will feature all the fun and traditions that you all have grown to love on Homecoming weekend in Orono! Join us for the biggest weekend of the fall as we celebrate UMaine's Homecoming and welcome back and recognize our alumni.
Nov. 6 vs. Stony Brook – 12:00 p.m. – Dead River Company

- #WelcomeHoME Whiteout – Fans are encouraged to wear white to the home opener and be as loud as they can as we officially Welcome the Black Bears Home! All UMaine students who attend the game will receive a free whiteout t-shirt.
- First Responder & Health Heroes Night – Join the Black Bears in celebrating all doctors, nurses, and first responders who have made an impact during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Postgame Fireworks – Fans are encouraged to stick around following the game as we light up the sky to celebrate football's return with a firework show presented by Phantom Fireworks
Sept. 18 vs. Merrimack – 12:00 p.m.
- Youth Day – All children who are members of the Bananas Cub Club, presented by Bangor Savings Bank, will receive a FREE ticket to the game. Not a member of the Bananas Cub Club, sign-up today at GoBlackBears.com/CubClub.
- All children will receive a free UMaine pennant, while supplies last
- All youth programs who would like to purchase special group rate tickets to the game can receive discounted tickets by contacting the ticket office at 207.581.BEAR.
- Hall of Fame – Members of the 2021 UMaine Sports Hall of Fame Induction Class will be recognized at half time
Oct. 9 vs. Elon – 12:00 p.m.
- State Pride Day - Celebrate the best of Maine and all our wonderful state has to offer as the Black Bears host Elon. Make sure to fill the stands and 'fill your steins' as fans will receive a free 'Fill the Steins' koozie, while supplies last
- Mental Health Awareness Day – Join the Black Bears in working together to raise awareness on mental health as the Black Bears will support the efforts and initiatives that take place to help our community end the stigma around mental health.
Oct. 16 vs. William & Mary – 12:00 p.m.

- Fans attending the game will receive a free red, white, and blue Maine Athletics giveaway item, while supplies last.
- Join us as we recognize and honor the Maine Football senior class at their final regular season home game at Alfond Stadium.
- The Black Bears will also honor the UMaine Cheerleading, Band, and Dance Team seniors.
