TARLETON VOLLEYBALL will take the court in Wisdom Gym this week for the first time this season after a .500 road trip to Miami on Friday. The Texans will host Big Sky member Eastern Washington in a 6 p.m. showdown to open the home athletic slate. Tarleton dropped its season opener in a tight match to the University of Miami but rebounded with a four-set victory over Florida International. After Wednesday's showdown in Wisdom, Tarleton will hit the road for another coastal tournament – this time heading west. Tarleton will play three matches in Stockton, California at the Pacific Invitational.
TEXAN FOOTBALL brings WAC football into the spotlight in style. Tarleton will head to Nacogdoches for its second meeting against the 'Jacks in three seasons when the Texans kickoff the football season with a conference game at 6 p.m. against Stephen F. Austin at Home Bryce Stadium. Tarleton played an eight-game spring season last year and went 5-3 while the 'Jacks played a 10-game fall schedule and went 6-4. This matchup will be the first in the revival of WAC football, which has not sponsored the sport since 2012.
TARLETON TENNIS will get their fall slate under way. The Texans will take part in five events during the non-championship semester, beginning with a two-day visit to the Tyler Junior College Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Elianne Miron returns seven letterwinners from last year's second-place WAC finishers.
FOOTBALL AT GLOBE LIFE PARK tickets are available at the Texas Rangers ticket website with links also available at TarletonSports.com/tickets. All ticket purchases must be made at https://ift.tt/2TR2bvT through Major League Baseball's website. Ticket prices extend up to $20 for Field Reserved seats. Parking passes are also available for $15. The Texans will take the big stage against future WAC member Southern Utah on September 18 at 6 p.m. The event will take place at Miller Tavern and Beer Garden inside Texas Live! from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will be free admission for all Texan fans with a game ticket for the Tarleton-Southern Utah game at 6 p.m. Fans in attendance can check into the Tarleton Fan Rewards program and receive 500 points, along with chances to win official Tarleton gear and prizes.

Tarleton's home volleyball match against Eastern Washington and Saturday's football game will air on ESPN+.
THE AIRWAVES of the Tarleton Sports Network will air the Todd Whitten Radio Show on Thursday. The half-hour show airs live from the lobby of Triple Crown Ford, formerly Texstar, at noon and can be heard on demand at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive. Fans are encouraged to safely attend the live airing of the show each week and free food is provided, courtesy of The Pizza Place.
TICKETS are available for all the upcoming home events, including football and volleyball games, online at TarletonSports.com/tickets. The ticket office is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. Student tickets are available for free to Tarleton students from any campus with a valid university ID number but must be ordered in advance at TarletonSports.com/tickets.
