The Big Ten is again eligible for the Associated Press college football top 25 poll, and SEC football is officially underway. That means big changes with another week of college football in the books. Also eligible for rankings this week, the Pac-12 and Mountain West following decisions to return to play this season.
But no conference drew more conversation Saturday than the Big 12 when top-rated Oklahoma lost to an unranked opponent, and Texas almost did the same before a mega comeback against Texas Tech.
And for the first time since Nov. 24 of 2018, LSU football takes a loss. The defending national champions lose at home to Mississippi State with Mike Leach’s Air Raid offense off to a torrid start in the SEC.
The ACC saw a statement game from Miami as well as impressive 2020 debuts for Virginia and Virginia Tech.
And with the Big Ten, Pac-12 and Mountain West back in the rankings, here is how the media sees things heading into Week 5.
