The Ducks have added two more games to their future football schedules. The Ducks will open their 2024 season with a home game against fellow Northwest school Idaho. Oregon and Montana State have both announced a one-game series that will be played during the 2025 season, and the game will serve as the season-opener for both programs.
Both Montana State and Idaho are FCS schools while the Ducks play at the FBS level. The announcement was made on Tuesday.
Oregon will open its 2024 season at home against the Vandals. Idaho and Oregon have played 59 times and dating back to as early as 1901, a game that ended in a 0-0 tie. The last time the Ducks and Vandals played was in 2004, a game the Ducks won 48-10. Oregon will also play at Hawaii and at home against Texas Tech and Boise State during their non-conference slate of games. Oregon will play 13 regular-season games in 2025 due to an NCAA rule that allows teams a 13th game for playing at Hawaii.
The Ducks will host the Bobcats in Autzen Stadium for the season-opener for both programs. The Ducks and Bobcats have played only one other time in program history, a meeting in 1947 in Oregon. The Ducks beat the Bobcats 27-14. Oregon will also play Oklahoma State at home and at Boise State for their non-conference slate for the 2025 season.
The Ducks are also scheduled to play against Utah State for a three-game series starting in 2027 in Eugene. 2028 will be in Logan, Utah while the third game is played in Eugene in 2029.
The Ducks will open up the 2020 football season with three straight home games against North Dakota State, Ohio State and Hawaii.
