The Ohio State football team better have offensive continuity pretty quickly because of some tough opponents coming up early in the schedule.

The Ohio State football team has to break in a new quarterback this season. We have talked a lot all offseason about the battle at QB and who might end up taking the job. Whoever it is better find some continuity with his teammates quickly early in the season.

That’s because the Buckeyes take on Oregon in the second week of the season. Oregon could possibly be the best team that Ohio State faces in the regular season. The Buckeyes need to make sure that all cylinders are firing in that matchup in the first home game of the season.

As long as the starting quarterback can find Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson with some regularity, there shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The receiving corp is perhaps the best in the country. The running game behind them should also be very steady.

The one thing that can kill a talented offense is a lack of chemistry. Chemistry is something that takes time to acquire. The Buckeyes only play one game before they face the Ducks. They play Minnesota in week one under the lights on the first Thursday of the season.

Ohio State needs to find a way to make sure that they can come out firing as soon as that Oregon game starts. The Minnesota game should be good enough for them to gather some chemistry. They aren’t a pushover opponent, but they aren’t very good either.

That type of opponent is the perfect team you want to face before you play a really good team. As long as they get that offensive chemistry, they shouldn’t be a team that is beaten easily.
