The Kentucky Wesleyan College football team fell to Findlay in their home opener on Saturday night. The Oilers picked-up three quick scores in the first quarter and never looked back.
It took the Oilers (2-0) just over three minutes and 75 yards to score the first touchdown of the game. They picked-up and returned a fumble to add to their lead within the first seven minutes of the game. By the end of the first quarter, Findlay held a 20-0 lead.
The Panthers (0-2) scored their lone touchdown in the second quarter. Kishawn Walker gave the Panthers prime field position with an interception on the UF 22-yardline. Four players later Chauncey Greer found Jayden Freeman in the endzone for a 25-yard reception. The extra point was blocked, and the Panthers trailed 30-6.
The Oilers added a late touchdown and field goal to end the half and hold a 40-6 lead at the break. Findlay used its running attack to shorten the game in the second half.
