We have reached Christmas time. Here are five things the Washington Football Team should be wishing for.
It’s that time of year. Christmas! The most wonderful time of the year! Christmas lights and decorations are up. Christmas trees are in living rooms and the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is on the TV (when football is not on, of course).
Everyone is making their list of presents they want, and that is especially true of the Washington Football Team.
Washington has played very much above expectations. They are 6-8 entering Week 16 and it’s very possible they could be playing postseason football this year. However, that does not mean that this is a team without its flaws. The 6-8 record confirms as much.
Washington, like most of the league, has a wishlist of positions to upgrade and improve their roster. They are forming a defense that can become elite with proper development. The experience gained in the rest of this season and this offseason will be crucial in capitalizing on the talent of this roster.
But teams in the NFL have only a finite amount of time to capitalize on their Super Bowl windows. The Washington Football Team may soon be entering that period. Here are five things that Washington should put on their Christmas list to become true contenders.
