The Mountain Brook Board of Education funded the video board that costs nearly $400,000 and will be reimbursed by the sponsorships sold from advertisements within five years. The video board is displayed on the school side of the stadium and is fully visible from the bleachers.

6:25 PM, Pray for Lotte: Spanish Fort coach Ben Blackmon’s young daughter, Lotte, is currently at USA Women’s and Children’s Hospital, battling a rhinovirus infection that has manifested into pneumonia. Blackmon has asked for prayers for his daughter and family on social media. He is at Spanish Fort’s game tonight against Robertsdale.

4:39 PM, Coaching change: Glencoe coach Brian Alred has stepped down after two games, the Gadsden Times reported. Alred was just 4-26 in his first three seasons at the school. The Yellow Jackets were off to an 0-2 start this season, after decisive losses to Randolph and Weaver. They are scheduled to play at Piedmont tonight. Defensive coordinator Jamison Wadley has been named interim coach.
