When a team’s high school football season could end has proven to be unpredictable this fall. That reality makes taking advantage of each opportunity that much more important.

Here are players that earned treats during Halloween weekend. Find award-winners from the Colonial League, Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and local Hunterdon/Warren schools below. Also, find our overall Football Player of the Week.

N.J. Defensive Star of the Week

Sr. DB Sean Call, Belvidere

Call had a team-high nine tackles, recovered a fumble and snared an interception as the County Seaters defeated Voorhees 37-14.

Honorable mention: Sr. LB Jacob Hille, Phillipsburg; Sr. LB Nathan Saccal, Delaware Valley.

N.J. Offensive Star of the Week

So. QB Jack Bill, Delaware Valley

Bill took 13 carries for 142 yards and two touchdowns, and completed 8 of 16 passes for 103 yards and another score as Del Val topped South Hunterdon 38-20 to clinch a division title.

Honorable mention: Jr. RB Justin Connors, Belvidere; Sr. RB/WR Tyler Holzworth, Delaware Valley; Sr. QB Mark Moyna, North Warren; Sr. RB Matt Quetel, Phillipsburg; Sr. RB Luke Van Horn, North Warren.

Colonial League Defensive Star of the Week

Sr. DB Collin McKeague, Pen Argyl

McKeague registered a pick-6 in the fourth quarter during Pen Argyl’s 28-21 win over rival Bangor. He also had six tackles on defense and rushed for two touchdowns on offense.

Honorable mention: Sr. LB Gavin Amerman, Pen Argyl; Sr. DB Dylan Ashenfalder, Pen Argyl; Sr. DL Owen Buck, Palmerton; Sr. LB Wyatt Ledeboer, Northwestern Lehigh; Sr. LB Michael Rader, Northwestern Lehigh.

Colonial League Offensive Star of the Week

Sr. QB JC Rizzuto, Southern Lehigh

Rizzuto needed just 11 carries to register 210 rushing yards and a touchdown as the Spartans defeated Salisbury 49-29. He also tossed a 35-yard touchdown pass.

Honorable mention: Sr. QB Gavin Amerman, Pen Argyl; Jr. RB Trevor Amorim, Northern Lehigh; Sr. RB Nick Henry, Northwestern Lehigh; Jr. QB Justin Holmes, Northwestern Lehigh; Sr. OL Reese Karp, Pen Argyl; Sr. WR/RB Chad Parton, Salisbury; Fr. QB Matthew Machalik, Palmerton; Sr. WR Collin McKeague, Pen Argyl; Sr. WR CJ Miles, Bangor; Sr. RB Mike Repsher, Northern Lehigh; Sr. RB Jared Reto, Bangor; Sr. RB Logan Shorb, Southern Lehigh; So. RB Cole Serfass, Palmerton; Jr. QB Dylan Smoyer, Northern Lehigh.

EPC Defensive Star of the Week

Jr. LB Jared Groller, Emmaus

Groller had a team-high 11 total tackles (eight solo), including three tackles for loss and a sack, as Emmaus stymied rival Parkland in a 13-6 victory.

Honorable mention: Sr. DB Bryce Farole, Whitehall; Sr. LB Tamir Jackson, Easton; Sr. LB Connor Neith, Parkland; Jr. LB Jose Ramos, Dieruff.

EPC Offensive Star of the Week

Sr. QB Matt Rauscher, Allentown Central Catholic

Rauscher completed 10 of 12 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 43 yards and two more scores as the Vikings downed Bethlehem Catholic 35-3 for a Holy War victory.

Honorable mention: Sr. WR Jayden Booth, Dieruff; Sr. QB Matt Bugbee, Nazareth; Sr. RB Michael Cruz, Northampton; Sr. WR Aidan Dougherty, Emmaus; Sr. WR Darius King, Allen; Sr. WR Jack McGorry, Allentown Central Catholic; Sr. RB Isiah Rico, Parkland; Jr. RB Jovan Rodriguez, Dieruff; Jr. RB Tyler Rohn, Nazareth; Sr. WR Jameel Sanders, Emmaus; Sr. WR Andrew Wells, Nazareth; Sr. RB Jayden Williams, Allentown Central Catholic.

Jr. QB/DB Quinn Wentling, Whitehall

Wentling was 20-for-32 for 212 yards and two touchdowns in the Zephyrs' dramatic 36-35 rivalry triumph against Northampton. The junior also rushed 18 times for 183 yards and three scores.

Wentling connected with Bryce Bashore on a game-winning two-point conversion.
