Week 14 of the college football season is scheduled to feature 11 of the top 13 teams in action, including each of the top six as the race for the College Football Playoff and bowl positioning hits the home stretch. All eyes will be on No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Texas A&M in the early slate of games before No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 6 Florida play in the afternoon, followed by games involving No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Clemson in the evening.

Ohio State's game at Michigan State will be particularly important for the Buckeyes (4-0) as they look to build on their shaky case for inclusion in the College Football Playoff. They have already seen two games canceled, which means they will play a maximum of seven games before the final CFP selections are made. Ohio State has played just four games to this point, compared to eight for Alabama, nine for Notre Dame, nine for Clemson, seven for Texas A&M and eight for Florida.

So if the Buckeyes struggle against a 2-3 Michigan State team that has upset wins against Michigan and Northwestern this season, it could give the selection committee grounds to bump the Aggies or Gators up into the fourth slot. That, of course, would only happen if Texas A&M handles Auburn and Florida beats Tennessee as the college football drama continues to heat up while the weather cools down.
