Patrick Mahomes can afford a lot of leisure activities after signing a contract extension that could reach half a billion dollars. The problem is, the deal severely limits what he can do off the field.
The Chiefs quarterback ticked off just a few of the things that are prohibited in the name of preventing a non-football injury, starting with basketball and baseball — and jet skiing, too.

"I read a lot of them (in the contract), but it's every, pretty much, possible physical activity you can do," Mahomes told Kansas City radio station KCSP (610 Sports Radio’s The Drive) on Tuesday.
"I'll probably be sticking to football and video games for a while now," he added.
Mahomes will be playing golf this weekend, though. He'll be competing in the American Century Championship celebrity tournament at Lake Tahoe. He said he will be accompanied by teammate Travis Kelce, "so I'm sure I'll have a little bit of fun there."
The Chiefs are hoping their franchise QB comes out of the weekend healthy and ready to resume pre-training camp workouts.
