Austin Hall, a native of Collierville, ended his Memphis career at the 84th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic with a six-tackle, one-interception performance against the Nittany Lions. Throughout his time donning the Blue and Gray, Hall made an impact not only on the field, but in the classroom.
On April 15, 2020, it was announced that Hall was named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society. The honor society is made up of football players from all division who maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or better throughout their college careers.
Hall concluded his playing career 10th on the tackles for loss charts, tallying 33.5 TFL. Additionally in the classroom, Hall earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice in August 2018 and began his work on a master's degree in public administration in fall of 2018. He was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and was named to the AAC All-Academic Team four times.
In 2019, Hall was an AAC Honorable Mention selection. Twice in his career he earned AAC Defensive Player of the Week nods and on Oct. 17, 2017, he was the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week.
