After a couple of action-packed months to start the season, it's March and Georgia is ready to begin spring drills. Since January 1, the Bulldogs have had a few players leave the program, more players join the program, hired new assistant coaches, and so on.
There's a changing of the guard for the program at quarterback as Wake Forest graduate transfer Jamie Newman has been on campus since January and will go through spring drills with the team. He'll be working under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken and behind an offensive line coached by new position coach Matt Luke. The special teams will be under new direction with long-time Alabama strength and conditioning coordinator Scott Cochran coming over in a bit of a surprise move last month.
Georgia also has six freshmen early enrollees from the No.1-ranked 2020 recruiting class on campus who'll get their feet wet during spring practice, which starts on March 17. The team is on spring break this week but we feel like that's the perfect time to examine what the depth chart will be as the team marches toward G-Day.
Reinforcements are on the way in the summer months with the rest of the 2020 class arriving and a graduate transfer from Florida State in tight end Tre' McKitty, but those players won't be around this spring and they won't be included in the depth chart. We take a look at the UGA offense below.
