Fordham senior quarterback Tim DeMorat was named the Patriot League Football GEICO Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season after throwing for 339 yards and four touchdowns in the Rams’ 56-7 victory over Wagner. Freshman linebacker James Conway was named Patriot League GEICO Rookie of the Week after finishing with 12 tackles and a forced fumble against the Seahawks.
Lafayette junior linebacker Marco Olivas received Patriot League Football GEICO Defensive Player of the Week after posting a game-high 16 tackles and one sack in the Leopards’ 27-0 win over Bucknell. Freshman placekicker Micah Pettit claimed Patriot League GEICO Special Teams Player of the Week by connecting on both of his field-goal attempts, including a career-long 49-yarder. He was also 3-for-3 on extra points.
Colgate senior linebacker Milton Braasch II and Fordham senior placekicker Nick Leinenweber received honorable mentions for their performances on Saturday.
The Patriot League football players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s sports information directors, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*DeMorat completed 19-of-23 passes for 339 yards and four touchdowns to lead Fordham to a 56-7 win over Wagner.
*The Patriot League Preseason Offensive Player of the Year recorded his second four-touchdown performance of the season and third of his career. All of his touchdown passes came in the first half.
*He recorded his third 300-yard passing game of the season and eclipsed 7,000 career passing yards against the Seahawks on Saturday.
PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Marco Olivas, Lafayette, Jr., LB, Fort Worth, Texas/Fossil Ridge
*Olivas registered 16 tackles, one short of his career-high, to help Lafayette defeat Bucknell, 27-0, the Leopards’ first shutout since 2017.
*The junior linebacker also contributed a sack for a loss of four yards.
*Olivas and Leopards’ defense limited Bucknell to 89 rushing yards and 80 passing yards.
PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Micah Pettit, Lafayette, Fr., PK, Bountiful, Utah/Bountiful
*Pettit connected on both his field goals and all three PATs in Lafayette’s 27-0 victory over Bucknell on Saturday.
*His 49-yard field goal in the fourth quarter was the longest of his career and the fourth-longest in Lafayette football history. It was also the longest by a Leopards’ kicker since 2010.
*He also made a 45-yard field goal in the third quarter and is now 4-for-4 on 40-49 yard kicks.
PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
James Conway, Fordham, Fr., LB, Omaha, Neb./Millard West
*Conway finished with a game-high 12 tackles and a forced fumble in Fordham’s 56-7 win over Wagner.
*He led a Rams defensive effort that limited the Seahawks to 99 rushing yards and 240 yards of total offense.
*He has posted double-digit tackles in his last four games.
