College football chaos continued its win streak in Week 9, resulting in yet another reshuffled top 25.
Three teams in the top 10 fell on Saturday: No. 6 Michigan against No. 8 Michigan State, No. 9 Iowa against unranked Wisconsin and No. 10 Ole Miss vs. No. 18 Auburn. The Wolverines' loss to the Spartans wasn't wholly unexpected, considering their proximity in last week's rankings and the fact the game was played in East Lansing. That said, an epic meltdown, a few key mistakes and controversial calls by officials will be huge storylines from that game.
Ole Miss' loss to the Tigers wasn't a shocker either, as Jordan-Hare Stadium is one of college football's toughest venues — though coach Lane Kiffin would almost certainly like a re-do after his aggressive play calls resulted in three turnovers on downs in the red zone. But the Hawkeyes' loss to the Badgers has completely derailed their season, just three weeks after beating then-No. 4 Penn State. Iowa is now third in the Big Ten West after it appeared to have the easiest path to the Big Ten championship of any team in the conference.

Those weren't the only notable losses on Saturday. Pitt was left wondering whether a missed safety call cost them a chance at the College Football Playoff; No. 20 Penn State fought valiantly but ultimately fell short in a defeat by No. 5 Ohio State; No. 12 Kentucky lost to Mississippi State, falling out of SEC East contention; No. 19 SMU lost its first game of the season; and No. 22 Iowa State — fresh off giving Oklahoma State its first loss of the year — fell to West Virginia.
Elsewhere, No. 1 Georgia did nothing to suggest it won't be the No. 1 team in every poll for Week 10, beating rival Florida 34-7 in Jacksonville and clinching the division championship. No. 2 Cincinnati overcame a sluggish start against Tulane to win 31-12, and No. 4 Oklahoma looked the best it has all season in a 52-21 win over Texas Tech. No. 3 Alabama was idle ahead of a key four-game stretch to end the season.
Why do those games matter? Because they were the final impressions teams could make ahead of the first set of Playoff rankings, which will be released on Tuesday. To that end, how closely will Sunday's AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll rankings match the first CFP top 25?
