COLUMBUS, Ohio – Television designations for three 2021 Ohio State University football games, along with two kickoff times, have been announced for the upcoming season.

The Buckeyes begin their 132nd season of football at Minnesota on Sept. 2 and the game will be televised by FOX. Kickoff time at TCF Bank Stadium is still to be announced. The game will mark the second time in the last five seasons that Ohio State opens its season on a Thursday on the road against a conference opponent. In 2017, Ohio State defeated Indiana 49-21 on a Thursday night in Bloomington.

Nine days after opening at Minnesota, the Buckeyes will host Oregon inside Ohio Stadium at noon as part of FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff. It will be the first time the two teams are playing in Columbus in 33 years, since a 31-6 Ohio State victory in 1987. The teams last met in the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship game, a 42-20 Ohio State win to secure the program’s eighth national championship.

Ohio State’s annual showdown with Michigan, set for Nov. 27 in Ann Arbor, will kick off at its traditional time slot of noon and it will also be televised by FOX.

Additional game times and network carriers are expected to be announced by the Big Ten Conference later this month.
