Missouri Football: Who’s visiting Columbia? - Rock M Nation

As we get closer to the end of the recruiting dead period, official visits are being set all over the country. Mizzou is no exception to that, so I figured it’s time to put together a list of recruits who will be visiting campus in the near future.

CJ Stokes, a 3-star RB out of Columbia, SC announced a few of the official visits he’s taking, and Missouri is among them. There is some thought that a decision may not be made for a while— he may be waiting for an offer from his hometown school, or may just want to let his senior season play out to see if he can garner more interest. The last player Mizzou recruited from Columbia, SC ended up being a first team All- SEC selection in 2020. Just a thought.

Joesph Himon II, a 3-star RB and two-time state champion out of Little Rock, AR has set up an official visit on the weekend of June 4th. He’s a nice player with a list of offers that includes Miami and Louisville, and also must also be pretty smart considering he’s commanding offers from Vanderbilt and Northwestern. He’s a player they’d love to get signed.

Daughtry Richardson, a 3-star OL out of Miami, FL is looking to take his official visit the weekend of June 25th, which could be good news for the Tigers when you think about it. Richardson has already scheduled official visits to Arizona State (6/4), Florida State (6/11) and Kentucky (6/18), and he’s also making an unofficial visit to Miami on June 1st. What does all of this mean? Well, with Missouri getting what should be one of his final two visits, they will get a chance to make one of the last pitches to Richardson. He’s listed as a FSU lean, but if Drink is gonna get a chance to get him on campus, then they have a shot.

Percy Lewis, the #1 JUCO OT out of Sallis, MS has set an official visit date for the weekend of June 18th. Lewis is a big, physical lineman who is probably best suited to play tackle. He’s a nice player, but the staff will need to get some work done as Lewis is currently committed to Oregon. He may simply love Oregon, or his scholarship offer from 2/25 may have had an expiration date (He committed on 3/2). So there may be a chance for Mizzou to sneak in the mix with a good visit.

Jaleel Johnson, a three-star DE out of Oklahoma City, OK has also scheduled a visit on the weekend of June 18th. Johnson has a good amount of offers from Big 12 schools like Baylor, Kansas State and Iowa State, and at this point in time, Missouri is his only SEC offer (and his only scheduled visit). Johnson has a lot of raw athletic ability and seems to be somewhat of a late bloomer. With a good senior season, it wouldn’t surprise me if Missouri had some company in Oklahoma or Oklahoma State. For the time being though, they seem to be in pretty good shape with him.
