LSU Football: Tigers could flip 4-star WR from Texas A&M - Death Valley Voice

LSU football could be in a position to flip the top player in the state of Arkansas.

2022 four-star wide receiver Isaiah Sategna committed to the Texas A&M Aggies in early March, but that hasn’t stopped the Tigers from pursuing the talented recruit.

Sategna, 5-foot-11/170 lbs from Fayetteville, AR, is ranked in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 38 wide receiver in the country and the No. 1 player in Arkansas.

So why is Sategna on flip watch?

It’s because LSU offered Sategna this past week. And the Tigers are a program that could be of interest to the dynamic wide receiver according to Rivals national recruiting columnist Mike Farrell.

“He has not ruled out visiting Baton Rouge….LSU would be the team to watch here if Sategna decides to visit,” writes Farrell.

Can LSU football convince Sategna to decommit?

There’s obviously still a long way to go in Sategna’s recruiting — especially with visits resuming this summer. It certainly wouldn’t be surprising to see the Tigers flip Sategna from the Aggies.

The main reason LSU would want Sategna in Baton Rouge is his speed.

Sategna also runs track and field in high school, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. His father is an assistant track and field coach at Arkansas, while his mother is a former LSU sprinter. She competed for Jamaica in the 1992 Olympics.

(Sategna’s father also attended LSU.)

The family connections at LSU, combined with the explosive offense that Jake Peetz is expected to bring to the Tigers, could be enough to flip Sategna from Texas A&M.

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Sategna ends up playing his college football in Baton Rouge. In fact, I kind of expect it.
