Fordham senior running back Trey Sneed was named the Patriot League Football GEICO Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for a career-high 147 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams victory over Lafayette. Junior placekicker Nick Leinenweber was named the GEICO Special Teams Player of the Week after connecting on both of his field-goal attempts and all four of his extra points.
Bucknell junior safety Jonathan Searcy claimed Patriot League Football GEICO Defensive Player of the Week after posting a career-high eight tackles while intercepting a pass and forcing a fumble in the Bison’s win over Cornell.
Lafayette freshman quarterback Ah-Shaun Davis earned his second straight Patriot League Football GEICO Rookie of the Week after throwing for 354 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for another score in the Leopards’ loss to Fordham.
Colgate senior linebacker Milton Braasch II, senior wide receiver Garrett Oakey, punter Shelby Pruett, Fordham freshman linebacker James Conway and Holy Cross senior linebacker Liam Anderson all received honorable mentions for their performances on Saturday.
The Patriot League football players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s sports information directors, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Trey Sneed, Fordham, Sr., RB, Orange Park, Fla./Fleming Island
*Sneed rushed for a career-high 147 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries to lead Fordham to a 42-41 victory over Lafayette.
*The Orange Park, Fla. native, scored the first touchdown of the game on a four-yard run, then opened the scoring in the fourth quarter with a one-yard run to bring the Rams within two points (35-33).
*Sneed rushed for 67 of his career-high 147 yards in the fourth quarter to help the Rams start League play 1-0.
PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jonathan Searcy, Bucknell, Jr., S, Medford, N.J./Shawnee
*Searcy recorded a career-high eight tackles to go along with an interception and a forced fumble to lead Bucknell to a 21-10 win over Cornell.
*The Medford, N.J. native accounted for two of the four turnovers generated by the Bison defense, both coming in the red zone.
*He intercepted a pass at the Bison four-yard line to keep the score tied at seven, entering halftime. He forced a fumble on the goal line in the fourth quarter.
PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick Leinenweber, Fordham, Jr., PK, Neptune Beach, Fla./Episcopal School
*Leinenweber was 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 4-for-4 on PATs in Fordham’s 42-41 victory over Lafayette.
*The junior placekicker connected on field goals from 39 yards, a season-long, in addition to 19 yards.
*Leinenweber is 4-for-5 on field goals and 13-for-13 on extra points this season.
PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ah-Shaun Davis, Lafayette, Fr., Quarterback, Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro
*Davis threw for two touchdowns and rushed for a third while completing 20-of-28 passes for 354 yards in the Leopards’ 42-41 loss to Fordham.
*In his third career start Davis became the first Lafayette quarterback to post a 300-yard game since Nov. 2, 2019, and led the Leopards most points in a game since Sept. 13, 2014.
*The freshman signal-caller had six plays of 20 or more yards, including a 74-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver K.J. Rodgers for the Leopards’ longest play from scrimmage this season.
HONORABLE MENTIONS

*Braasch led Colgate with nine tackles, 3.5 TFLs, a career-high 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble in the Raiders 28-21 victory over Georgetown. He leads the Raiders with 38 tackles this season.
Garrett Oakey, Colgate, Sr., WR, Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale
*Oakey caught five passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns to lead Colgate to a 28-21 victory over Georgetown to improve to 2-0 in League play. Oakey’s fourth-quarter touchdown reception proved to be the game-winner.
Shelby Pruett, Colgate, Fr., P, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest
*Pruett averaged 51 yards per punt on three attempts, including a career-long 59 yarder that pinned Georgetown at their own eight-yard line.
James Conway, Fordham, Fr., LB, Omaha, Neb./Millard West
*Conway led the Rams with 14 tackles, including nine solo tackles, in a win over Lafayette. The freshman linebacker has recorded double-digit tackles in three straight games.
Liam Anderson, Holy Cross, Sr., LB, Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive
*Anderson tied a game-high 13 tackles and 2.5 TFLs in Holy Cross’s loss to Harvard.
