Ravens vs. Raiders score, highlights: Las Vegas wins wild 'Monday Night Football' in overtime - Sporting News

What a way to end Week 1.

It wasn't the prettiest "Monday Night Football" entrant of all time, but it sure was entertaining as the Raiders came from behind to beat the Ravens 33-27 in overtime. Las Vegas' defense made some huge stops and created turnovers while Derek Carr made just enough plays to snatch victory from Baltimore.

Both teams played well enough to win — and lose — in regulation, but the fourth quarter ended with Baltimore's Justin Tucker (47 yards) and Las Vegas' Daniel Carlson (55) trading field goals. The Raiders won the toss in overtime, setting themselves up for a game-winning touchdown from the jump.

A Las Vegas victory seemed all but certain after a Carr pass to Bryan Edwards was marked downed at the Baltimore 1 after a review. But a quarterback sneak went for nothing, and then on second-and-goal, rookie right tackle Alex Leatherwood was called for a false start. Two plays later, Carr's pass to Willie Snead was intercepted by Ravens corner Anthony Averett — who was in for the injured Marcus Peters — giving the ball to Lamar Jackson and Co.

Unfortunately for the Ravens, Carl Nassib strip-sacked Jackson, giving the ball back to Las Vegas at the Baltimore 27. Two plays later, Carr hit Zay Jones for a 31-yard game winner. Overall, Carr completed 34 of 56 passes for 435 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception, including the game-winner. His favorite target on the night was Darren Waller, who caught 10 passes for 105 yards and a score, but six other receivers had multiple receptions. Josh Jacobs rushed 10 times for 34 yards and two touchdowns.

Jackson was efficient through the air, completing 19 of 30 passes for 235 yards and a score; he added 12 carries for 86 rushing yards. But he also fumbled twice, including the one in overtime. Both turnovers resulted in touchdowns for the Raiders. Jackson was the Ravens' leading rusher, though former Raiders back Latavius Murray (10 carries, 28 yards) and Ty'Son Williams (nine carries, 65 yards) scored rushing touchdowns.

11:53 p.m.: Kenyan Drake gets a yard on first down. Looks like they're setting up field goal positioning.

11:52 p.m.: FUMBLE RECOVERY, RAIDERS. And there's Carl Nassib with the timely strip-sack! He forces Jackson's second fumble of the day. Las Vegas will take over at the Ravens 27.

11:51 p.m.: Johnathan Abram knocks the ball loose from Andrews. Third-and-7 coming up.

11:50 p.m.: Crosby gets 3 on the first-down carry. It's second-and-7 from the 33.

11:48 p.m.: Timeout, Ravens. Coach John Harbaugh got it off in time to avoid the delay of game.

11:48 p.m.: Ravens take over at the 20. Next score wins. Crosby chases Jackson as he rolls right and forces a throw out of bounds.

11:46 p.m.: INTERCEPTION, RAVENS. Oh my goodness. Carr's pass to Willie Snead is high and fast; it goes through his hands, bounces off DeShon Elliott's helmet and into Anthony Averett's hands. Touchback.

11:29 p.m: Raiders are going for the field goal from here. Looks like a 55-yarder.

11:29 p.m.: Edwards again, this time for 18 yards to the Ravens 37. Only seven seconds left.

11:27 p.m.: Raiders back to work from the 25 with 37 seconds left.
