Nebraska Football: Four-star Georgia running back would benefit Huskers - Husker Corner

With the NCAA dead period ending on June 1, Nebraska football has already been on the minds of several prominent players. One player in particular is scheduled to visit following its end. Four-star running back Justin Williams is scheduled to be among the visitors.

Williams is the 39th overall running back in his class, and the 48th overall athlete in his class from the state of Georgia per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He has offers from the likes of Louisville, USF, and West Virginia.

Playing at East Harding high school, he rushed for 1,477 yards and scored 19 touchdowns. A member of the 2022 class, Williams would certainly fit in with the Nebraska running back pipeline. Running back is a position that Nebraska football has always seemed to recruit well. he is an electrifying playmaker.

He is certainly a little bit different than the type of running backs that Nebraska football has been recruiting consistently in the last couple of classes. He is a faster running back, instead of a power back. As soon as he hits the hole, it is off to the races. He is very hard to catch, and I can definitely see that helping in the passing game as well. His run-after-the-catch abilities could be a tremendous asset. He is the type of player that is a good natural athlete. He would definitely be able to electrify the Nebraska offense , and add yet another playmaker in the fold.

Currently, the 2022 Nebraska football recruiting class is ranked 61st overall nationally and 11th in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Team Tankings. There is still a lot of work to do when it comes to this class, but it seems like Nebraska will be able to get the job done. They have a lot of talented athletes on their radar, and they should be able to land some of those.

Williams would definitely fall into that category. Nebraska has done a great job of adding running backs to the roster before, and he would certainly add to their pipeline. I’ll be interested to see what happens once the June deadline is lifted. I have a feeling  it is going to be a recruiting bonanza, and Nebraska figures to be in the middle of it. They certainly need to add some names to the 2022 class, and I would be willing to bet that they will do so around that time frame.
