Blackford at Wes-Del, 7 p.m.

Preview: Blackford and Wes-Del have never played one another. Well, at least not in the lifetime of the athletes who will be playing Friday night. Last year, Blackford opened up its season with a 5-2 record, losing only its home opener to Monroe Central (37-28) and Week 5 game to Alexandria (40-35) in the first seven weeks. Wes-Del went 2-8 last season but also had a number of close losses, including an 18-16 Week 1 loss to Alexandria. This should be a fun one Friday night.

►SEASON PREVIEW: Wes-Del football ready to prove itself in 2020: 'We can be more than what we've shown'

Watching in person:

  • Fan capacity: 400 people (270 home, 130 visitor). If you don't already have a voucher, stay home.
  • Wes-Del fans: Wes-Del's players and cheerleaders received vouchers to distribute at their discretion while any remaining vouchers were made available to Wes-Del students/staff.
  • Blackford fans: The first 100 vouchers went to players but the other 30 were randomly selected in a "lottery." Pick up can be done at the Blackford Athletic Office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. See if you won here.
  • Entry: Blackford fans enter through south side of complex. Wes-Del fans enter main gate.
  • Masks, social distancing: Per Wes-Del guidelines, "ALL spectators will be required to wear a mask/face covering when attending athletic events." There are markings on the bleachers, as well, to ensure social distancing.

Yorktown at Anderson, 7 p.m.

Preview: Yorktown and Anderson have faced off against each other to start the season each of the past five seasons. Each time, Yorktown came out on top, winning last year 18-0. The Tigers will need to replace some key offensive weapons this season but come in with plenty of experience capable of doing so.

Watching in-person:

  • Fan capacity: 500 people. Tickets are presale only.
  • Yorktown fans: Vouchers were already given to Yorktown. Those with a voucher will be able to purchase a $5 ticket. Those without a voucher will not be allowed in.
