Early betting lines released for five Alabama Football games - 247Sports

With no college or professional sports taking place at the current time (sans UFC) due to the coronavirus, fans look ahead to college football in the Fall of 2020. Now is as good a time as any to take a look at the early betting lines for some of the biggest games.

Fox Bet released the lines for many teams, including Alabama’s big contests against the SEC and one non-conference foe. With no Tua Tagovailoa throwing the football, Nick Saban’s squad is going to be an interesting team to watch for in the race for the College Football Playoff.

Out of the five games released by Fox Bet, the Crimson Tide are favored in four of them.

Alabama opens up with USC in Dallas in a kickoff neutral site game on September 5th. The Crimson Tide are 13.5 point favorites over the Trojans.

On September 19th, Alabama gets an early date with the Georgia Bulldogs, a potential SEC Championship game. Since Alabama is hosting, they currently sit at 4.5 point favorites over Georgia.

Fast forward to November 7th, after a bye week, Alabama heads down to Louisiana to take on Ed Orgeron and his defending National Champion LSU Tigers. With the loss of Joe Burrow, LSU figures to take a small step back but they are still the early favorites over Alabama. The Crimson Tide are one point underdogs in this match up.

Two weeks later on November 21st, Alabama hosts Texas A&M and they are a definitive favorite. The Crimson Tide sit as 9.5 point favorites over the Aggies.

In the regular season finale, the Iron Bowl versus Auburn on November 28th, Alabama is a definitive favorite again. Since they host this year, Fox Bet lists Alabama as a touchdown favorite (seven points) over Auburn.

Coronavirus spreads between people in close contact with one another, typically within six feet, or through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Spread is still possible before people show symptoms, although that does not stand as the typical cause, according to the CDC.

Symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath can surface 2-14 days after exposure. Without an existing vaccination to prevent the disease, the best way for prevention is to avoid exposure. Ways to combat catching COVID-19 include self-quarantining from others, washing hands, avoiding hand to hand or physical contact with others. Large, crowded events like sporting events, movie theaters, work conferences are encouraged to postpone or cancel, while theme parks such as Disneyland in California have also temporarily shut down due to the outbreak.

As of Sunday morning's update, the CDC reported 3,010 total coronavirus cases across 49 jurisdictions, including Washington, D.C. Although the CDC is no longer disclosing how many potential cases are under testing for the coronavirus, there have been 61 deaths.
