Early 2020 betting lines released for USC Football - 247Sports

With no college or professional sports taking place at the current time (sans UFC) due to the coronavirus, fans look ahead to college football in the Fall of 2020. Now is as good a time as any to take a look at the early betting lines for some of the biggest games.

Fox Bet released early lines for big games during the 2020 season and they featured four games including the USC Trojans. USC is coming off an 8-5 season in 2019, capped with a loss to Iowa in the Holiday Bowl.

Right now, the lines are split as USC underdogs in two games and favorites in the other two that were released early

USC kicks off its season on September 5th in Dallas at a neutral site versus Alabama. With the Crimson Tide looking to get back to the College Football Playoff in 2020, USC is a hefty 13.5 point underdog to Alabama.

Two weeks later on September 19th, USC travels to Stanford for a conference match up. Despite being on the road, the Trojans are 3.5 point favorites over the Cardinal.

In the stretch run of the season, USC travels to Oregon on November 7th for a date with the Rose Bowl champion Ducks. USC is a four point underdog on the road.

On November 21st, USC takes on rival UCLA at Rose Bowl Stadium for the best clash of California football squads. As of the early lines, USC opens up as a six point favorite over the Bruins.

While the early line was not released, USC takes on Notre Dame the week after UCLA. If USC is in the running for the PAC 12 title and somehow the College Football Playoff, the Trojans could boost a post-season resume with a win over the Fighting Irish at home in their final regular season game.

Coronavirus spreads between people in close contact with one another, typically within six feet, or through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Spread is still possible before people show symptoms, although that does not stand as the typical cause, according to the CDC.

Symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath can surface 2-14 days after exposure. Without an existing vaccination to prevent the disease, the best way for prevention is to avoid exposure. Ways to combat catching COVID-19 include self-quarantining from others, washing hands, avoiding hand to hand or physical contact with others. Large, crowded events like sporting events, movie theaters, work conferences are encouraged to postpone or cancel, while theme parks such as Disneyland in California have also temporarily shut down due to the outbreak.

As of Sunday morning's update, the CDC reported 3,010 total coronavirus cases across 49 jurisdictions, including Washington, D.C. Although the CDC is no longer disclosing how many potential cases are under testing for the coronavirus, there have been 61 deaths.
