The Game
The Augustana football team returns home with the nation's fourth-long home winning streak as it welcomes Upper Iowa. Augustana is the NSIC's overall standings leader with a 4-1 record and has won eight-straight home contests. Augustana is ranked No. 25 in the latest AFCA Coaches' Poll and No. 20 in the D2Football.com Top-25.

The Peacocks
Upper Iowa enters Saturday with a 0-5 record after losing to Southwest Minnesota State 20-14 last week. Prior to That, the Cougars had losses to Minnesota Duluth, Concordia-St. Paul, Northern State, and MSU Moorhead.

Freshman running back Willy Camacho has jumped fast out of the gate in his first season as he ranks second in the NSIC with over 152 all-purpose yards per game. He's also the leading running back with over 77 rushing yards per game, good for fifth in the NSIC.

Defensively, the Peacocks give up 397.2 yards per game and give up 31.6 points per game. They rank second in the conference, behind only Augustana, with 64.4 yards rushing per game allowed.

The Vikings
Augustana, holding a 4-1 record, is coming off its first loss of 2021 with a two-point setback at Sioux Falls. In that game, Jarod Epperson continued doing Jarod Epperson things, with 148 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns. With 20 carries, he averaged 7.4 yards per carry in the contest. Logan Uttecht recorded a 100-yard receiving game on eight receptions. Defensively in the game, Eli Weber recorded 11 tackles, eight being solo, while T.J. Liggett totaled 10 tackles, three of which were tackles for loss.

For the season, Epperson has rattled off 578 yards, an average of 115.6 per game. Kyle Saddler, the NSIC South Division Preseason Player of the Year, has tossed for an average of 254.8 yards per game and 15 touchdowns, a mark that ranks top-10 in the nation. His top target has been Sean Engel who has received five touchdowns and 359 yards over the five games. His average reception is 16.3 yards per catch.

Defensively, the Vikings have a brick wall of a defensive line with more on that below. The leading tackler is Liggett with 32 tackles while Weber has recorded 25.

Who to Watch For
The Augustana offensive line has done a great job of not only opening up a run game that ranks 21st in the nation with just over 212 yards per game, but the line has also not allowed a sack in 2021. The offensive line has protected the Viking signal callers on 176 drop backs this year not allowing Kyle Saddler or Connor Neill to be taken down. How many teams have not allowed a sack this year you ask? One. Augustana University.

One Last Thing
After another impressive performance against the run last week at USF, Augustana maintained its ranking of first in the nation in rushing defense at just 16.8 yards per game. That lowered its total by nearly three yards from the week before. In all, Augustana has allowed just 77 yards rushing in 2021. In contrast, the Vikings have racked up 1,062 yards rushing.
