Former LSU quarterback Brandon Harris has found a new gig.

The report originally came from Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports, who released that Harris was set to be hired as Texas football’s director of recruiting.

With the move, Harris replaces Bryan Carrington, who departed to take a new job with the USC Trojans.

Carrington had praise for Harris when he responded to the news via Twitter.

He originally joined the Longhorns’ program back in 2019 when former head coach Tom Herman hired put him on staff as an offensive analyst. For the past two years, Harris has had a hand in the Texas offense, and it will be interesting to see how much of an impact he can make in his new position.

At LSU, Harris completed 53.9% of his passes for 2,756 yards with 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions before transferring to North Carolina.
