Here is how the Washington Football Team can win their first playoff game in 15 years against the Buccaneers.

The Washington Football Team has made the playoffs! They face the 11-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8:15 on Saturday night. The primetime slot.

Before we begin, think back to a year ago. The Washington Football Team had just introduced their new coach Ron Rivera following a dismal season. One year later, they are playing in a playoff game in primetime. Just let that sink in for a moment.

The Washington Football Team does not, however, get an “easy” matchup with their awaited return to the playoffs. Who do they face? Oh, you know, just the most accomplished quarterback ever in Tom Brady. There has been no regression from the 43-year old quarterback either, as he threw for 40 touchdowns on the season.

To go along with that they have a stacked receiving core with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown, they have an underrated back in Ronald Jones and a pretty solid tight end in Rob Gronkowski.

Their defense is no slouch either. Antoine Winfield Jr. in most years could be a Defensive Rookie of the Year contender. He just so happened to be in the same class as Chase Young. Shaq Barrett is one of the more underrated pass rushers in the NFL and Lavonte David is one of the best linebackers in the NFL. Their other star linebacker, Devin White, will be out Saturday as he is on the COVID list.

Their coach is no a pretty good one too, Bruce Arians. Known as the “quarterback whisperer” he is the winner of two Coach of the Year awards. He appeared in an NFC Championship game in 2016 where he lost to Ron Rivera’s Carolina Panthers. He won a Super Bowl with the Steelers as an assistant and is highly respected across the league. He also is not afraid to beat you deep. His famous saying is “no risk it, no biscuit.”

The Buccaneers are as close to a super team as you can get in the NFL. From coaching staff to the 53rd man on the roster, they are one of the most talented teams in the NFL. And they are getting hot at the right time. They are winners of four straight.

Not many people are going to give Washington a chance on Saturday. However, I see a path to the upset victory on Saturday. Here are my three keys to a Washington Football Team victory on Saturday night to move on to the divisional round.
