The 2022 recruiting cycle has been a busy one thus far for the LSU Tigers. Early on Saturday, the Tigers lost a four-star safety when Bryce Anderson decommitted from LSU.

However, the Tigers got some good news later on Saturday when the No. 1 player in the state of Louisiana for 2022 ended the recruiting process and chose the home team.

Will Campbell, a 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive tackle from Neville High in Monroe, Louisiana, picked LSU over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma and many more.

This is a major coup for LSU head coach Ed Orgeron.

Keeping the top players home is always a priority for the Tigers, and Orgeron continues to do just that. Also, there’s a good chance LSU loses its entire starting offensive line after next season.

Another positive for LSU in this recruitment is Campbell’s friendship with fellow 2022 commit, quarterback Walker Howard.

Campbell becomes commitment No. 8 for LSU’s 2022 recruiting class, currently ranked No 4 by 247Sports.
