Dan Mullen and the Florida football program are hoping to reload at the quarterback position after saying goodbye to Kyle Trask following the 2020 season.

They will welcome in three-star quarterback Jalen Kitna as part of their 2021 class but they have yet to land an offer from a quarterback in 2022. As it stands now, Florida has offers out to 12 different quarterbacks in the 2022 class but five have already committed elsewhere.

However, one of those players that holds an offer, four-star Cade Klubnik, seems to think highly of the Gators.

The Austin, Texas native recently spoke to Sports Illustrated’s John Garcia Jr. about his recruitment and where things stand. He gave quotes on a few programs including Florida as he had this to say about the Gators:

Florida: “I like Florida’s OC a lot, and Coach (Dan) Mullen, they’ve got a really good group there. I’m liking their offense and I like the few times I’ve talked to them.”

Klubnik also stated that he would like to make a decision before the Summer and wants to go into his senior year at Westlake already committed.

The Gators are in the mix but they are going to have to beat out a few other programs that are making strides in his recruitment including North Carolina, Clemson, Penn State and Texas.
