TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State has at least one football player who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Players and staff members began testing for the coronavirus on May 20 in preparation for voluntary workouts resuming. FSU began voluntary workouts June 1.
An FSU spokesperson confirmed Tuesday that there is at least one positive test but was not able to give specifics on how many players have tested positive due to HIPAA regulations.
UCF announced that three of its football players have tested positive for the coronavirus Tuesday.
At least 12 other Bowl Subdivision schools are known to have had athletes test positive as on-campus workouts begin. Not all are football players. Among them: Auburn, Alabama, Texas Tech, Iowa and Iowa State.

FSU has already had at least one player test positive for coronavirus during the pandemic. Redshirt senior center Andrew Boselli announced April 10 that he had tested positive for COVID-19 along with members of his family. He was tested on March 21.
